The Steel Yard is made of Special Steel, Zinc plated and is graduated accurately to the full capacity of the machine by means of machine cut notches. This system gives quich and accurated weighment without the need for loose weights. Wear and Tear of the notch protection bar as illustrated. A quick tumbler locking device is provided to hold the steel yard while loading and unloading for minimising wear and tear of knife edges and bearings. Major poise is mounted on roller bearings for smooth movement. The brass polished bracket which carries the brass polished bracket which carries the brass polished scale, engraved with marking, is fixed at an angle to the steel yard for easy reading. The brass polished minor poise moves on it for final reading, Balance box at pillar end of the steel yard is provided for quick zero adjustment. Sensitivity ball is incorporated in it for restoring original sensitivity instantly.

The Self Indicating Dila head work is housed in dust and moisture proof round enclosure. White indicator with black pointer gives shodowless line to line indication on white chard. That means the pointer points at and does not overlap the figures and there is no shadow to confuse the readings which therefore, can be taken from wide angle. The self compensating double pendulum system of time proven design coupled with rack-pinion device, ensures consistant accuracy. The oscillation of the indicator are regulated to individual requirement by means of Oil Dash pot which also acts as shock absorber for the mechanism Locking Device is also provided to prevent damage during movement of the scale. Ungraduated Tare bar can be provided on request
